In the Stars

Here is my horoscope from yahoo today:

You are dispersing your energies, dear Sagittarius, and you know it! You go out to dinner in town, attend parties and shows, but you are never really present. You listen to people but what they are saying doesn't interest you in any fundamental way. Yes, you are bored, and you're afraid to admit it to yourself. The depth of your inner search requires that you use a lot of energy reexamining your life.

The crackpot on line astrologers are right. Let the reexamination begin

The Hard Facts About Softcore

How come everytime I tune into Showtime for some softy it's the same movie. Softcore porn isn't suppose to be good but it seemed so much better when I was younger. These people aren't even anatomically correct. You never see anything below the belt. Are they unics?

Why The Kids Don't Care

See why people don't care about politics?
From the Sioux Falls Argus Leader Nov. 3, 2003

Gannett News Service reports that many young voters still end up outside the political process, looking in. Katie Freshley, a 21-year-old from Cincinnati, told the news service she thinks George W. Bush is a "warmongering, bloodthirsty racist, homophobic person who should not be in office." But she can't name any of the Democrats running against him. "Scary, huh," she says. "I'm very undecided."

In a study released last month, the Harvard University Institute of Politics found a reawakening of political interest on campuses. The organization surveyed 1,202 students, primarily age 18 to 24.

In a Harvard poll from April 2000, 51 percent said political involvement rarely produced tangible results. In the latest poll, only 34 percent agreed with that statement. The poll found that college voters are more likely than the general population to support Bush and that most students supported the war in Iraq.

I would think if you were in college wouln't you be against war. Think of the draft kids, think of the draft.

Red Ed

One of the biggest pricks you'll ever meet is being pawned off as the liberal answer to Rush Limbaugh.
What I want to know is when did Ed Schultz become a bleeding heart?
For those of you who don't know about Mr. Ed he was a long time sports director at WDAY-TV in Fargo. Known more for his antics off the air than on and his marriage later divorce of the darling of Fargo television Maureen Zimmerman, there is something democrats should know. Ed is not a liberal.
For years he pawned himself off as Fargo radio's local Limbaugh. He peppered his show with contrived Republican logic and crass behavior. Hanging up on people he didn't agree with, then blasting them after the line was dead.
Even if you don't agree with Mr. Limbaugh's politics, the man is a effective communicator. He will piss you off, while making an argument you buy, if only for a second.
So, I'm coming off as a liberal here, so be it. I like to think of myself as socially liberal and economically conservative. Smoke all the dope, look at all the porn and help your neighbor when you can, but don't expect others to follow.
The problem with being a liberal is there is no unity. What is a democrat? That answer is as varied as the people the term represents. On the other hand everyone gets a mental of a Republican as soon as the term is mentioned. Republicans are the Model-T of politicos. They are assembly line products with the same machinery moving their consciousness through suburbia.
So-called liberals are more like the snowflakes of society. They’re all different and they tend to drift to different places never covering the landscape evenly.
Ed Schulz has never hugged a tree, marched in a protest or embraced individuality.
He will fail miserably.
